Going Green With A Twist - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, RETHINK!

TWISTED GREEN MISSION

Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels has made an environmental commitment to the world community, helping to make our world a better place today and for future generations. As a company, we pledge to communicate openly about our environmental and social practices and demand the same commitment from suppliers and subcontractors. We will make a practice of assessing the environmental impact of the products we produce and the products we use at various stages of their lifespan. We will also continuously review and challenge our way of doing business to demonstrate thoughtful stewardship of natural resources. And we will strive to provide our employees with a healthy and safe workplace.

OUR TWISTED GREEN TEAM

The Green Team was formed to create eco-friendly changes and ensure continued social responsibility in our way of operating. It is formed of passionate individuals to champion the company’s green initiatives, partnering with all departments within the company to devise creative green programs and strategies that help reduce our carbon footprint through the fundamental practices of reducing, reusing, and recycling, with a twist (“rethink”).

Being GREEN

Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels launched a “Green Twist Program” on April 1, 2008, planting a tree in tribute to Earth Day for every online order placed during the month of April. The positive feedback encouraged us to continue our eco-friendly efforts. Today we are pleased to announce that we are committed to planting a tree for every new online membership to our Pretzel Club. We have partnered with Trees For The Future, an organization founded in 1989.

“We are very focused on being an eco-friendly organization and minimizing our carbon footprint. It is our hope that millions of trees will get planted this month because of our generous customer family.”

“Since 20% of green house gases today are produced from burning old growth, carbon rich rain forests, we want to help off-set this devastation by planting as many trees as we can. This is our way of showing the business community that every company can make a difference in our world.”
