Pretzels for Progress

When our passionate pretzel team heard about the devastation in Haiti, we immediately realized another purpose for our pretzels: inspiring and empowering others to help quickly raise much needed funds for Haiti. “It has been our mission since our beginning over fifteen years ago to ensure that every pretzel we make effects positive change and progress in our world community,” said Kim Holstein, our President/CEO & Chief Inspiration Officer. “We have several initiatives that help us live pretzels with a purpose and when we heard the devastating news about Haiti, our team put their creative problem solving skills to work and came up with a way to quickly and effectively support progress.”

While we're known for our all-natural soft stuffed pretzels, we also have over 100,000 individually-wrapped, chocolate-covered pretzel rods on hand. Because the “Gourmet Dipped” pretzel rods do not need to be frozen, we decided they’d make the perfect fund-raising item! Kim and Scott additionally offered to supply these rods at no cost to anyone or organization that would sell them to raise funds for Haitian relief. “With a suggested price of $1 per pretzel rod, we have the ability to quickly raise over $100,000! Knowing that many people will donate even more for each pretzel rod is that much more exciting. Our kids are ready to get their school involved, and we have many other organizations ready to sell pretzels to create progress,” said Scott Holstein, our COO and Cofounder.

Those interested in using the pretzel rods for fund raising simply need to “sign out” cases at no charge and bring back the funds raised. Cases can be picked up at our magical bakery in Chicago (click here for our location) or have them sent with the cost of shipping only. 100% of the money raised will be donated to Save The Children, the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need, with over 90% of expenditures going to program services.
