
Should the pretzels arrive with dry ice? Where is the ice? My pretzels were soft when they arrived. Is this ok?
Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels should arrive cool to the touch. There will be little or no dry ice in the box. The pretzels might be soft; this is because they’re a bread product. Enjoy the pretzels today or refreeze for later.
The package arrived damp. Is that ok?
Any moisture inside the package is due to the initial thawing of the pretzels, not the dry ice. The moisture will not affect the taste and actually acts to ensure the pretzel remains soft during heating. The pretzels are safe to place in the freezer (for up to 9 months) or in the refrigerator (up to 4 days)! Enjoy!
How do I warm the pretzels up?
The instructions are included on the retail box or the bag for individually wrapped pretzels, and if you need additional information, feel free to call our customer service hotline at 1-800-57-TWIST (that’s 800-578-9478). The pretzels are fully baked, and you can enjoy at room temperature or warmed up (that’s the best!).
How long do they last in the freezer? How about the refrigerator?
Pretzels purchased at the grocery store will last in your freezer for 1 year. Pretzels delivered to your door that are individually wrapped will last in the freezer for 9 months. All product lasts in the refrigerator for four days. The freezer keeps them the freshest for the best pretzel experience!
How long can I leave them out at room temperature?
The pretzels can be left at room temperature for one day. They’re fully baked and safe to eat during this time period.
What are some great ideas for serving them?
The pretzels make a delicious “anytime meal”; they’re great on their own or as a combination with soups, salads, and more. You can make pretzel sandwiches by slicing the pretzels and putting meats, veggies, and more, together for a unique twist to the expected sandwich.
Why is the shipping so expensive?
Due to the perishable nature of our pretzels and our commitment to deliver the freshest product possible, we guarantee a two day transit time on all our products. Additionally we pack and ship our products with dry ice; this necessary measure adds to the weight of the package and to the cost of ship as well. We are working with UPS to extend lower shipping rates to our customers and will pass those savings along to you soon!
